Happy Thanksgiving! It’s the season to give thanks and honor our Veterans. We would like to start this month with a health and safety announcement for a healthy fall and winter:
Upon entering their school building, all children should wash their hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer. If your child is running a temperature of 100 degrees or more, they may not attend school and must be fever free for 24 hours without the aid of a fever reducer before they will be allowed to return. Should your child receive a contagious Diagnosis from their doctor, please inform us immeDiately as it’s our responsibility to inform other families that their child may have been exposed to a specific illness.
If you are sick or have sick family members with you, please do not come into the building. Simply call ahead and we’ll be glad to meet you at the door to get your child or bring them out to you. These rules are for the safety of your child as well as their classmates and teachers. Thanks for your cooperation!

Wednesday, November 11th: Veterans Day
We will be celebrating Veterans Day today and students and staff are asked to wear red, white, and blue to school. If you have a veteran in your family, please invite them to join us for breakfast from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. At 8:15 a.m. there will be a brief presentation for the children to say thank you for serving our country.
Tuesday, November 17th: Pictures with Santa
Santa is coming to Casa Dia Montessori for pictures! Please dress your child in holiday clothes for pictures and you may send a change of clothes with your child for them to change into afterwards. This early date will allow time for you to receive the pictures before the holiday season.
Thursday, November 19th: Thanksgiving Luncheon
All parents of preschool children in Rooms 3, 4, 5 and 6 are invited to join us for a Thanksgiving Luncheon from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Before lunch starts, the children will present a special Thanksgiving song. We want to have plenty of turkey and all the trimmings, so if you wish to join us, please sign-up for the event. Sign-up sheets will be available on your child’s classroom door.
Thursday, November 26th through Friday, November 27Th: School Closed
We will be closed on November 26 & 27 in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday. We hope you enjoy some safe and wonderful family time!

Monday, November 2nd through Friday, November 6th: Parent-Teacher Meetings
Parent-teacher meetings will be held this week in the teacher’s lounge. Sign-up sheets are available on the classroom doors and the schedule is as follows:
- Monday: Pk3
- Tuesday: Pk4
- Thursday: Pk5
- Friday: Kindergarten
There will be no parent-teacher meetings on Wednesday, November 4th.
Monday, November 9th through Friday, November 13th: Thanksgiving Pies
Parents are invited to join us for Thanksgiving pies this week from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Invitations will be sent out this week. The schedule for Thanksgiving pie is as follows:
- Monday: 1A, 1B and 1C
- Tuesday: 1D, 1E and 1F
- Wednesday: 2A, 2B and 2C
- Thursday: Pk3 and 4
- Friday: Pk5 and Kindergarten
Monday, November 16th: Pictures with Santa
The children will have their pictures with Santa taken today starting at 8:30 a.m. Please dress your child in their holiday best. You are welcome to send a change of clothing for your child after pictures are over. Pictures with Santa are being taken this month so there you will be able to get pictures in time for the holiday season.
Thursday, November 26th through Friday, November 27th: Thanksgiving
School will be closed this Thursday and Friday in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. We hope you have a fun and safe weekend with your loved ones!
The Centre at Conway in Chesterfield
Monday, November 9th through Friday, November 13th: Scholastic Book Fair
Come support the Centre! The Scholastic Book Fair will be displayed in the top level atrium this week. Families will be able to purchase books at the fair during the Centre’s hours of operation. All purchases made will be used to benefit the Centre.
Monday, November 9th through Wednesday, November 25th: Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent-teacher conferences will be taking place during this time for:
- Toddlers
- Twos
- Primary grades
These meetings are an opportunity for parents to discuss their child’s progress with their teachers. If you wish to attend a conference, please sign up for an available time on sign-up sheets that will be available on your child’s classroom door.
Friday, November 20th: Thanksgiving Feast
We will be hosting our Thanksgiving feast for the students today. The feast will begin with the children singing a special Thanksgiving song in the atrium. Students and teachers will also be able to make Thanksgiving crafts. The Thanksgiving feast is provided by the Centre.
Wednesday, November 25th: Normal Centre Hours
The Centre will be open today at normal hours. We will not be closing early in anticipation of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Thursday, November 26th through Friday, November 27th: Thanksgiving
The Centre will be closed today and Friday in celebration of Thanksgiving. We hope you have a fun and safe weekend with your loved ones!
