Welcome back! A new school year has started and while it may be hot out, there are lots of cool events happening at your child’s school. Find out more about them:

We would like to give a fond farewell to Ms. Amy Benson of Room 1C as well as good luck as she goes to complete her Master’s Degree in school counseling. We are grateful for her service here and wish her the very best in teaching her new class!
Monday, August 3rd through Friday, August 7th: Splish Splash Fun
Summer is going out with a bang with Splish Splash Week. This week, the children will be creating sand art and having fun playing on the water slide on Friday. Please remember to dress your child appropriately for the events and provide them with sunscreen and a towel as well as extra clothing.

Monday, August 10th: The Magic House
Can you moo? The Magic House will be at the school at 10 a.m. with Sounds with Seuss. The children will learn about sounds and vibrations based on the books of Dr. Seuss. There will be two 30 minute sessions with preschoolers rooms:

Wednesday, August 12th: End of the Summer Party
Time to say farewell to summer! There will be parties held in the individual classrooms of:
- 2A
- B
- C
- PK3
- 4
- 5
- 6
Pizza and ice cream will be provided and a bounce house will be set up on the playground, weather permitting.
Monday, August 17th: Moving Rooms
Today, the children will be moving rooms from preschool to the kindergarten prep room for the new 2015-2016 school year.
Thursday, August 20th: Kinderdance Free Trial
Kinderdance will be offering a free trial today to all children 2 years and older who are interested. The children will have the opportunity to try out forms of dance like tap and ballet. After, they will be able to sign up for enrollment in the class. Sessions begin September 3rd.

Friday, August 7th: Last Splash Day
Today will be the last Splash Day of the season. Please remember to have put sunscreen on your child and provide them with a towel and swim shoes to avoid slips.
Monday, August 10th: Start of the Academic Year
Today marks the beginning of the new academic year and we are eager to see new and returning faces! As usual, please provide your child with a sheet and blanket for nap time and extra clothes in case of unforeseen weather conditions.
Thursday, August 13th: Parent Night
Primary classroom parents will have the opportunity to visit their child’s classroom and meet with lead teachers to discuss the new school year from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. This event is adult only, but the Centre will have child care available. All parents with children soon to be 2 to 6 years old will also have an opportunity to explore the Centre and sign up for all of our extracurricular activities.
