My name is Ken Buchholz. I am the assistant directress for Casa Dia Montessori on Watson Road. I live in Jefferson County about 12 miles away from the school. I began working at this school on July 9, 2001 shortly after it became licensed. I received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri St. Louis in 1972. I started my career working for the Missouri Department of Social Services, were I was employed for over 27 years before I retired July 1, 2001.
The last 18 years of my employment involved inspecting and licensing child care centers and homes in the St. Louis area. My last five years working with the State, I supervised a team of eight child care specialists whom visited in licensed and unlicensed facilities.
When you visit the school to drop off or pick up your children, you will see me at the front desk where I spend the majority of my time. I keep track of the payments you make for your child, and help you when a mistake is made on your account. I receive and respond to emails that parents send to the school. I do the grocery shopping to buy fresh fruits and vegetables that we serve each day.
