Let freedom ring! This July, NAMCC has many fun events planned for our kids. Please remember to exercise firework and food safety when taking part in celebrations for a safe and fun Independence Day.

Also, if your child becomes ill and is Diagnosed with something contagious, inform your child’s school as soon as possible. Doing so allows us to post the information so other parents may be aware of the possibility of illness if their child has been exposed and begin exhibiting symptoms.

We would like to thank you for being so generous with your donations for our “Super Hero Soldiers” event. Because of your generosity, we were able to collect many goodies to send to our soldiers who are deployed overseas.

June 29th through July 2nd: Party in the USA

This week, we will be celebrating Independence Day with many fun activities. The children will be able to tie-dye their own shirts and learn more about our country.

Friday, July 3rd: Closed for Independence Day

Casa Dia Montessori of Mehlville will be closed today in observance of Independence Day.

Monday, July 6th through Friday, July 10th: Casa Dia’s Got Talent

The student’s will have the opportunity to participate in a talent show and walk the red carpet during Casa Dia’s Got Talent Week.

Friday, July 10th: Christian the Magician

Christian the Magician will be at the center today to perform a magic show for the children at 10 a.m.

Monday, July 13th through Friday, July 17th: Pirate Week

Ahoy Mateys! The children will be able to dress up as pirates on Friday, July 17th at the end of a fun-filled week full of treasure hunting.

Tuesday, July 14th: Safe Touch

There will be a Safe Touch program for all children who are 3 years and older today. You will receive an information sheet prior to the event. If you do not wish for your child to attend the Safe Touch program, sign the information sheet and turn it in.

Monday, July 20 through Friday, July 24th: Christmas in July

It’s a winter wonderland! The children will be celebrating Christmas in July this week with many fun, holiday themed activities and a visit from the Elf on the Shelf. On July 24th or “Christmas Eve,” everyone is invited to come to school in their pajamas.

Monday, July 27th through Friday, July 31st: Beach Party

This week, we will be hosting a Hawaiian themed beach party. The children will have the opportunity to learn how to hula dance and play the limbo at the Luau on July 29th.

Friday, July 31: Visit to the World Aquarium

The children will be visiting the World Aquarium today as a finale to Beach Party Week. The bus will leave at 9:00 am and return around 12:00. The cost for guests or parents to attend the field trip is $6 per person.

 Friday July 3rd: Closed for Independence Day

The center will be closed today in observation of Independence Day.

Wednesday July 8th: Trip to Oak Bend Library

The preschoolers take a field trip to Oak Bend Library. We will leave the center by 9am and arrive by 9:30. The children will have a story time where they will get to hear some good stories as well as a craft and some movement activities and a small tour of the library.

Tuesday July 14th: Mr. Saxophone

Today, Mr. Saxophone will be visiting the school to perform some fun music for the kids at 10 a.m. for rooms 1F through Kindergarten.

Wednesday July 22nd: Lakeside Bowl

The preschoolers will be taking a field trip to Lakeside Bowl. We leave the school by 9:30 for a fun filled hour or so of bowling with popcorn and a drink before returning by 11:30.

Tuesday July 28th: Spunky Beans

Spunky Beans visits the school to make some fun balloon animals and other fun objects for the children at 10 a.m. for rooms 1F through Kindergarten.

Wednesday, July 1st: Wapelhorst Aquatic Center & Splash Day Has Been Rescheduled

Our field trip from June 17th to Wapelhorst Aquatic Center was rescheduled for July 1st from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. All children in Primary classrooms must arrive at school no later than 8:15 a.m. in swimwear and sunscreen already applied.

This is a shallow pool with sprinklers and water activities, so no flotation accessories are needed.  Please make sure to sign your child’s permission slip. There will be no Splash Day for Primary classrooms today.

Toddlers will have Splash Day on Wednesday, July 1st due to the center being closed on July 3rd. Please make sure to bring swimwear, water shoes and a towel for your child. Also, remember to take all wet items home at the end of the day.

Wednesday, July 8th: Science Center Presentation: Build It! Test It!

Science Center presentation: Build it! Test it! All Primary classrooms will participate in a one hour session during the morning from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Centre. Using reclaimed materials, the children will follow the story of The Three Little Pigs to build their own house. Then, they will be able to put it to the test with the “Wolf fan” to see if it can blow the house down.

Friday, July 10th & Friday, July 24th: Murray’s Shaved Ice

Murray’s Shaved Ice will be visiting the school on Friday, July 10th and Friday, July 24th with cold treats for the children. Snow cones for the Twos and Primary will be available at 10a.m.

Wednesday, July 15th: St. Louis Zoo Presentation: Land, Air and Water!

The St. Louis Zoo will be at the Centre today to present this summer’s theme, Land, Air and Water. This program will be for the Primary classrooms only. Each classroom will participate in a 30 min session during the morning.
