Children should come to school prepared for pictures. Parents may send a change of clothes for children to wear after pictures are taken.

September 12th: Field Trip to Centennial Farms

Centennial Farms is a family ran small Orchard. The children will take a hayride out to the orchard to pick apples followed by a short tour of the berry and pumpkin fields. Students will also see how we sort and polish apples and walk into the cold storage room.

Next they will see an observation hive and learn about bees by the Centennial Farms beekeeper Ellen. They will sample apple butter, see the Johnny Appleseed tree, and go to the playground. We will have a picnic prior to returning to school.

Of course, we would love some parent volunteers. Children do not need to sign up unless they are a part-time student and they do not come on Friday. Please come to the office if you would like your child to come and they do not attend on Fridays.

September 22nd – 26th: School Clothing Drive

Clean out your closets and bring in gently used toddler, kids, and women clothing.

Voluntary Research Study (Dates will Vary)

Washington University is looking for children 3-5 years of age to participate in a Research Study. The study would be done within our school and would not inconvenience you in any way. We are sending home documentation for you about the research study and specific dates. This study is completely voluntary. Research in Early Childhood Education and practices is something that is needed to continue to learn about how young children learn. Contact us today for more information at 314-434-3300.
