Ms. Laurel

My name is Laurel, and I have been teaching preschool in the Pre 3 classroom at CAC since January 2018. I have a B.A. in philosophy from Colby College in Waterville, Maine, and a master’s degree in early childhood education from Maryville University. I hold a Montessori certification to teach at the primary level (ages 3-6) from the American Montessori Society, and I have been teaching for 20 years. I love watching the children grow in independence and learn, and enjoy giving them opportunities to explore their world using math, science, cultural studies and reading. I enjoy reading, gardening, working with stained glass, spending time with family and friends and going to the beach.
