Dear Parents,
Can you believe the summer is almost over? It goes so quickly. This is a good time to remind our preschoolers that academics will start in September. The teachers will begin to introduce Montessori lessons again toward the third week of August. We look forward to our new children and those returning from summer hiatus with their parents. Let’s look forward to a productive and yes, fun school year. We thank you for your support as the center continues to grow. We could not have an excellent center without your help.
Field Trips
Field trips for the three year olds and above have been going well. If your child is in the preschool rooms and is not yet three years old, you may take your child, in your car, to the field trip. Children under three years old are restricted from riding on the bus.
Field trips end on August 11th
It was a fun summer – Parents if you have any favorite (field trip) places to take children, please speak to Angela Haffer. We are always looking for new field trip sites.
Please make sure your field trip payments are at a zero balance by the end of August. See the office if there are any questions.
McDonald’s Day
We will have McDonald’s Day on August 25. I have sent out the order forms and ask that you return them by August 20.
Fall Field Trips
We have scheduled our fall trips to Eckert’s for apple and pumpkin picking. Your child should have received permission forms last week. Should you need more please stop by the office and ask for more.
Children That Do Not Attend Field Trips
There will be a teacher on staff to care for those children who do not accompany the field trips. Please contact the office should you wish to have your child remain at the school rather than attend some of the field trips.
Kindergarten
We will have an Open House for the Kindergarten Room on Tuesday August 24, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Please join us. Many of you have already signed up. Our kindergarten takes 4 ½ year olds, up to 6 year olds. Should anyone else be interested in Kindergarten, please see Ken in the office.
School Closed
The center will be closed on September 6, 2010. Please enjoy the holiday with family and friends. Have a safe and happy holiday. Should you be traveling, have a safe journey.
Referral Program
Please remember that if your family refers a family that enrolls in our program each family will receive a $50.00 credit on their account after the second week of enrollment.
