Dear Parents, March 2010 is upon us. Thoughts of warm weather and Cardinal Spring Training are on our minds. I know the children have not been able to go out and play a lot during February so hopefully they will be LUCKY enough to go out more this month. It’s wonderful to hear their play and laughter.
Medication This is also the time of year when many children are taking medications. Be sure to complete an authorization form and make sure that your child’s name is clearly listed on the label, so that we can administer the medication to your child. Remember that your medication forms are only good for a two-week period of administration.
Illnesses We would like to remind all parents that although we never want to have to call you to tell you that your child is ill, it might be necessary. Our State Licensing rules say that if a child has a fever that reads 99.0 degrees or higher they must be sent home and may not return for 24 hours and must be fever free without the aid of Tylenol. If you wish for us to give your child Tylenol, we will take their temperature beforehand and if they have a fever then they will be sent home. A medical form must be filled out on a daily basis for Tylenol to be given.
Parent Referral Program Did you know that we have a Parent Referral Program? When you refer your friends and coworkers to us we offer both families a $50 tuition credit. We appreciate you spreading the word about our center. We know that happy children and satisfied parents are the most effective advertising we will ever have. See the office if you have any questions about this program.
Valentines Parties Everyone had a great time at the Valentine Parties. Thank you, parents, for bringing in treats and supplies for the parties. Thank you to those parents who were able to attend the parties.
Spring & St. Patrick’s Party The school will have Spring Parties in each of the classrooms on March 17. Please see the teachers for the festivity schedule. Please know that you, Grandparents and significant others, are welcomed to join the FUN!
Building Safety Several children at the center run down the hallway from their classroom and head directly out the front exit/entrance door. Please speak to your children about staying with you while walking to the exit/entrance doors and on to your cars. Generally, it is dark outside when leaving the center. We are concerned that your child will run out the door and not be seen by a car on the parking lot. Thank you so much for your help in this matter. Keep your eyes open for the green turtle reminding you to go SLOW!
St. Patrick’s Blessing For all you Lads and Lassies, Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sunshine be warm upon your face and rainfall soft upon your fields, and until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.
Remember everyone is Irish on St. Patty’s Day, so wear your GREEN!!
Until next month, think of spring flowers and sunshine.
