Casa’s Chalkboard - Watson Email - watson10109@sbcglobal.net Volume 26 Issue 2 www.namontessori.com February 2010
Dear Parents, It’s February and the center is full of happiness and love. The children will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on February 12. Please check to see if you need to supply anything for the party in your child’s room. Remember, all we need is LOVE!
Cold Weather The children still go outside each day, weather permitting. Please remember the coats and hats so the children’s playground experience is fun and warm. Don’t forget to mark your child’s clothing with their name or initials. If you mistakenly take someone else’s extra clothing or back pack, please return the items the next day. Our weather restrictions for taking children outside are as follows: 32°-90°F - Children can stay out for allotted amount of time. 20°-31°F - Children can stay out for 10-15 minutes. 19°F or below - Children should not go outside. (Temperatures include windchill.)
Expecting Mothers Please stop by the office if you are expecting, to make sure you are on the list for infant care if you need it. All of our families will be placed at the top of our waiting list.
Late Pick Up As stated in your Tuition Agreement that you signed when you enrolled, a fee of $1.00 per minutes is assessed after 6:00 p.m. with a minimum of $5.00.
Bringing Food From Home If your child is unable to eat the items we supply for our meals, we will do our best to substitute. If you are wanting to supply food from home you will need a Doctors note giving you permission to do that for personal, religious or medical reasons.
Parent Referral Program Did you know that we have a Parent Referral Program? When you refer your friends and co-workers to us, we offer both families a $50.00 tuition credit. We appreciate you spreading the word about our center. We know happy children and satisfied parents are the most effective advertising we will ever have. Stop by the office if you have any questions about this program.
Building Safety Several children at the center run down the hallway from their classroom and head directly out the front exit/entrance door. Please speak to your children about staying with you while walking to the exit/entrance doors and on to your cars. Generally, it is dark outside when leaving the center. We are concerned that your child will run out the door and not be seen by a car on the parking lot. Thank you so much for your help in this matter.
Until next month, take care. Angela & The Staff At Casa
