Dear Parents,
Thanks to all the families who contributed Box Tops to our center.  We were able to collect over 2700 box tops which converts to $270.00 for our Parent Advisory Group to use for teacher appreciation activities and the purchase of extra supplies and equipment.  Most classes met their goals and will be enjoying a special party in the future.  It was amazing to see classes (and parents) sharing extra box tops with other rooms to be sure that everyone met their goal.  That’s teamwork!!  We do continue to collect Box Tops all year.  They can be dropped off in the School Bus that sits on the shelf near the upper level entrance.  Thanks again for your help.

Dr. Seuss’s Birthday
The Cat In The Hat, Green Eggs & Ham and many more books will be read to celebrate the birthday of author Dr. Seuss.  

March 4-5
Lil’ Angels Photography
Pictures will be taken of children dressed in 1-3 special outfits provided depending on their age.  There is no sitting fee or obligation to purchase anything.  Finished portraits will be available 3-4 weeks later for parents to view and purchase. Only children who are signed up will be taken.   

March 9-12
Scholastic Book Fair
Be sure to stop by the atrium and check out our Book Fair.  There will be a wide variety of paper back and hard back books for different ages.  Wish Lists will be posted outside each classroom to name books that teachers would like to have if parents wish to donate them.  Our center receives free books based on the total sales we have.  Cash, check and charge will be accepted.   

March 12
Pajama Day
Children (and parents) love this fun event each year.  Everyone can come to school in his/her pajamas and favorite stuffed animal to enjoy a morning full of activities including a movie with popcorn in the atrium.  Don’t forget to send along extra clothes for the children to change into after naptime.

St Patrick’s Day Party
Wear your green and join the fun with this day celebrating all things Irish.  

March 19
“Max & Ruby” Theater Field Trip
Preschool & Kindergarten children will be going to the Florissant Civic Center to see a children’s theater production based on the Max & Ruby television show.  Watch for sign up sheets that will be posted outside the classrooms.  Parent volunteers are always welcome.  

March 26
Reptile Experience
The children (ages 2 and up) will get to visit with and learn more about several reptiles, such as snakes and lizards as well as tarantulas and more.  The cost is $4.00 per child.  All children will be taken unless parents inform their child’s teachers that they do not wish for their child to participate.

Parent’s Night Out & Sleepover
Children of all ages can join us for an evening at the center while parents go out on their own.  Sign up forms will be available to indicate if your child will be staying just until 9:00 p.m. or for the entire night.  Older siblings are welcome to attend as well.  We provide dinner, a movie, and a snack as well as fun games like flashlight tag.  The sign up deadline is March 25.

 Summer 2010
Our summer brochure will be available by the end of March.  We are busy planning lots of fun activities, special guests and field trips for the children.  We ask parents to return the response forms by April 2 so that we can know the number of children to expect
