Did you know that we have a Parent Referral Program that will give you tuition credit if a friend you refer enrolls in our center?  New families need to complete a referral form and turn it in no later that their child’s first day of attendance.  Both families will receive a $50.00 tuition credit on the new child’s second week.  See the office for more details.

Hat Day
Each child should come to school wearing their favorite hat.  

February 4
Kindergarten Open House For 2010-2011
4:00-5:30 p.m.
Be sure to stop by the Kindergarten room to get more information about our Kindergarten program for next year.  Mrs. Marks will be talking to parents about how our program is set up and will be answering any questions you may have.  Registration forms will also be available.  Children who will turn 5 in August, September and October can also be considered for enrollment based on feedback from their current teacher as well as a screening that will take place in late spring.  If you are unable to attend the open house, please stop by the Kindergarten class after that date for information.  

February 12
Valentine’s Day Parties
9:30-10:30 a.m.
Children are encouraged to bring valentines to share with friends.  We request that you only have your child sign their name on the valentines, not address them to specific children. This will allow the children to pass out one valentine to each of their classmates.  Sign ups for treats will be posted outside of the classroom doors.   

February 12
Valentines Parent Night Out and Sleepover
Children of all ages are invited to spend the evening (or all night) with us while parents enjoy some time out on their own.  Siblings are welcome as well.  The sign up deadline is February 11.  Forms are available near both level offices.   

February 16
Chinese New year Parade
Each class will create masks to wear in the parade celebrating the Chinese New Year. 

February 19
Abra-Kid-Abra Magic Show
Children ages 2 and up will view a magic show with a Dental Hygiene theme.  All children will attend unless parents notify their child’s teacher that they do not want him/her to participate.  The cost is $4.00 per child. 

February 25
Creative Arts Showcase
We are excited about all of the wonderful art that will be on display in the atrium and in the halls on this afternoon.  Be sure to plan to spend a little extra time viewing all of the art during pick up time on this day.  The children are always so proud to show of their works of art.

Science Center Field Trip
Preschool and Kindergarten only.

These teachers that show such caring and commitment to the children in our center have made such a difference in many young lives.  Having so many long term staff  contributes to a sense of continuity and security for parents and children. 

As we celebrate another 20 year staff member, please join me in showing your appreciation to Ms. Vi for her years of dedication.  It would be hard to imagine a more dependable and hard working teacher.  She truly cares about each child and is here every day without fail to nurture and challenge them.  Thanks for all you do Ms. Vi!!
